Adding or Removing Prescription Filters
You can view only certain prescriptions by entering one or more words as a filter. You might use a filter if you are looking for a specific prescription or a group of prescriptions. For example, you may want to view all prescriptions for a certain patient, or all prescriptions for a certain doctor. When you use a filter, only prescriptions containing the filter are shown. The filter is shown at the bottom of the Prescriptions tab.
Note: If you set a filter from the To Do, Pending, or Completed tabs, the filter applies to all three tabs. If you set a filter from the In Process tab, the filter applies only to the In Process tab.
In the following example, a filter has been used to find a prescription that was placed on hold. The word hold has been entered in the filter criteria. As a result, only prescriptions that contain the word hold will appear on the Completed tab. The filter can be used in combination with the Calendar to locate prescriptions from a certain day, week, or month.
To filter the prescriptions on your Workbench:
- Select the Filter button, located at the bottom of the screen.
- Enter your filter criteria. If possible, it is recommended you keep your filter criteria to one word.
- Select the OK button.
- If you want to apply the filter for a certain day, week, or month, select the Calendar button and choose the view.
To remove a filter on your Workbench:
- Select the Filter button, located at the bottom of the screen.
- Use the Backspace or Delete button on your keyboard to remove the filter criteria.
- Select the OK button.
